What is unique about how Plan Managers work to help participants get the most out of their plans?
Peak Plan Management offers freedom from bill paying as we take care of this for our participants. This gives far greater choice and control over funds, and participants are not restricted by the service providers that they use. They can also have independent support workers and providers that may offer a unique style of support which is preferred by the participant.
What skills and experience from your previous roles now makes you a great Plan Manager?
My love of people and wanting to help makes this the perfect job for me. I have always been a good mediator for people. I am an up-beat person, who focuses on positive conversations and solution-based problem-solving.
How does the teamwork at Peak Plan Management help you deliver positive outcomes for participants?
Our local team has a great rapport, we share our knowledge and work together beautifully to ensure we can deliver the best service to our participants and their support coordinators. We focus on kindness as being at the heart of what we offer. We listen and work hard to provide solutions for participants by thinking ‘outside the box’.
What makes your role as a Plan Manager so satisfying?
The incredible people we meet every day, participants, their family, support workers, and support coordinators.
What part of your job makes you most proud?
I am proud of our knowledge and how adaptable we are to the ever-changing NDIS policies and guidelines, and of how responsive we are to change and our flexibility within our roles. No two days are the same and we respond and step up to the challenges of each day.
Building trust and feeling comfortable are so important to participants. What do you offer to make sure this is at the centre of your work?
Every day I interact with our participants and support a diverse range of people. I can offer people the chance to ask questions and provide possible solutions and ideas to help. We always provide kindness and a friendly voice on the end of the phone.
